I saw some infrared photographs by Steve Denby at an exhibition some months ago. They captured my imagination and since then I have experimented, using my digital camera with an IR filter. Infrared filters remove all visible light and the images produced are almost always unusual. That is not to say they are always beautiful: they can be merely odd. Some subjects work better than others though I am not yet able to predict which will be successful. And the whole process, even with a digital camera, is quite time-consuming. But when the shot does succeed, an IR photograph is quite distinctive and very lovely.
All prints are for sale, normally in a signed and numbered edition limited to 25. The usual size is around 10x8 inches, up to A4, although panoramas are considerably bigger : usually around 18x7 inches (45 x 18cm). All prints are supplied with a high quality mount and backing board, and sealed in a clear plastic bag. High quality papers and long life inks are used exclusively. All prints cost £40 including postage and packing costs to the UK. Airmail costs are slightly higher. For more information please contact me: | ||||||||||||||
